Raymond L. Marshall

Raymond “Ray” Marshall, one of the founding members of Chason, Rosner, Leary & Marshall, LLC, is licensed to practice law in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. His legal career began in 1997 as a Law Clerk to the now retired Honorable Ellen M. Heller, Circuit Court for Baltimore City. Ray is involved in a broad range of litigation matters. He has extensive experience practicing before the state and federal courts of Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia.

Ray was recognized by Maryland Super Lawyers® for 2016, 2015 and 2014. Only 5% of the total lawyers in the State of Maryland are selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers. Ray was also selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2017 and 2018 Best Lawyers in America in the practice area of Commercial Litigation. Ray received The Daily Record’s Leadership in Law Award in 2015.

Ray has once again been selected by his peers for inclusion in the 24th Edition of The Best Lawyers in America® for the 3rd consecutive year in the practice area of Commercial Litigation.

Ray joined The Arc Maryland’s Board in 2016 and was elected to the position of Vice President of the Board of Directors in 2017.   Ray previously served six years as a Board Member, including one year as Vice-President, for Disability Rights Maryland, formerly known as the Maryland Disability Law Center. Ray frequently volunteers as counsel on a pro bono basis for individuals with disabilities. Ray also prepares monthly food trays for Our Daily Bread, which serves homeless individuals. Ray previously served as a youth football and basketball coach. Ray lives with his family in Lutherville, Maryland. 

Ray was selected as the recipient of the 2012 Award for Advocacy Leadership in memory of Stanley S. Herr by the Arc Baltimore. The Arc Baltimore provides advocacy and high quality life-changing support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

On June 7, 2012, Ray was recognized by The Maryland Disability Law Center with its 2012 Legal Advocacy Service Award.
